Mission
“To make our country self reliant in energy sector by the year 2022, the year when we will be celebrating Platinum Jubilee of our independence”. The mission is called ‘Mission-2022’
Vision
IAEMP prepared a Vision Document for our “Mission-2022”. It was prepared after extensive discussions amongst our members and other experts. The Vision Document contains 10 Chapters including a time bound action plan. Dr B.Shivalingaiah, MD of Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Ltd. at Central Power Research Institute, Bangalore, released the document on 14th August’07. The document is well appreciated for its approach and many Libraries and Institutions including US Library of Congress and World Bank have sought its copies.
The Urja Watch
The association publishes a monthly magazine ‘The Urja Watch’. The soft copies are distributed free to all members of yahoo group while the hard copies are made available against annual subscription.
Energy Efficiency and EC Act, 2001 National Seminar
Our members also organised a National Level Seminar on “Energy Efficiency and EC Act,2001” at Hyderabad which was a grand success. Several activities are being taken up to educate households on practical energy saving ideas at Homes.
Other Seminars and Presentations
Many of our members were invited to give talks/presentations in National/International Seminars/ Radio & TV Programmes etc. on energy conservation. We are also regularly participating in Exhibitions on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. Many of our members are regularly writing articles for Technical magazines/Newspapers etc.
Expert Group on Energy Efficient Data Centers
Data Centers consume nearly 1.5% of energy produced globally.
There exists considerable knowledge on the need for energy efficiency in Data Centers, given widely encountered challenges related to infrastructure sizing, redundancies required and the demanding nature of IT loads. On the other hand, building construction norms are recognizing the need for green approaches through established certification programs.
The Expert Group on Energy Efficient Data Centers is a forum for designers, builders, owners, operators and users of Data Centers to share issues, innovations, best practices, standards, cases and opinions on the use of energy in Data Centers, and other green topics.
This group, under IAEMP, is convened by SCHNABEL DC Consultants India since 2008.
